NECCTON at the Digital Ocean Forum

dto advert

<strong>The project coordinator Stefano Ciavatta joined the second Digital Ocean Forum (DOF2), organized by the EU DG MARE and DG RTD, in Brussels on the 14th and 15th June 2023.</strong><br />
<br />
The objective of DOF2 was to co-design the future EU Digital Twin of the Ocean (DTO), in the framework of the EU Mission of Restore our Ocean and Waters, and implemented though the Horizon EDITO projects. More than 50 EU Horizon projects were represented at the meeting and discussed what they could share with the EU DTO. Stefano explained that NECCTON can provide marine ecosystem models and simulation datasets to the DTO&rsquo;s Engine and Datalake. In turn, the DTO would be a great opportunity to store and continue the exploitation of the NECCTON products at the end of the project. The DOF2 also provided an excellent opportunity to acquaint other project leaders and set plan for collaborations with <a href="https://www.actnow-project.eu/" target="_blank">ACTNOW</a>, <a href="https://marcobolo-project.eu/" target="_blank">MARCO-BOLO</a>, <a href="https://www.futuremares.eu/" target="_blank">FutureMARES</a>, <a href="https://missionatlantic.eu/" target="_blank">Mission Atlantic</a> and <a href="https://ecoscopium.eu/" target="_blank">EcoScope</a>, all sharing the vision of healthier marine ecosystems and more sustainable fisheries.<br />
